Skin History and Daily Face Regime

Alright, so before I start posting my experiences on using BRTC bb cream and after pics, I need to first write about the condition of my face.

As I stated in the Rules and Regulations post, the after effect pics and things that I've experienced is based purely on me and thus, results may not necessarily be seen in you guys. And, really... this review is very subjective as there are so many other factors that need to be taken into consideration, such as the environment that I'm living in, my diet, lifestyle, etc... that will affect the condition of my face at that time. So, you guys just need to remember and be wary of that when looking at the before and after pictures!

ok, so lets get started then... um...

MY SKIN HISTORY
Straight through high school, I was actually one of the lucky girls. I barely had any pimples, but I did get them. However, at most it'd only be a few, not many. As a comparasion, my older sister, all throughout high school had an extreme acne problem, her face was very red, blotchy with red painful pimples everywhere.

But anyway, once I hit around 19-20 years old, I started to notice a lot of changes... My cheeks initially began to start peeling, and since then, they can be quite dry. - Which is a major pain in the bum, coz when I put foundation on, often you could see the skin peeling...

At the moment, since I've turned 21-22, my cheeks don't peel as much as it used to and it's a lot better. I've also, however, actually been getting small pimples/bumps on my face, more than I've had before and hence more scars. (coz... ok, I know this is a BIG no no... but I kind of like picking my black heads... I remember, at a lecture once, the lecturer was talking aobut acnes... and he even said, picking them was fun. Then quickly said 'oh... shouldn't have told you that, coz you shouldn't pick them'... LOL

But nah, I just feel that, once I pick them, the gunk is out and then it can start to heal... but I've noticed that, once I hit my 20s, it takes LOADS longer for my pimple scars to disappear... >.<>

So..... *drum roll*... I guess it's now Picture time.... .

OK, so enough, here goes....

ME - BARE FACED [BEFORE]
*Note: for people who have slow internet connection, maybe try avoid double clicking on the images for a detailed view... coz the images might take too long to load..? Just a suggestion*

Um... it feels a bit weird critiquing myself, and my trouble zones.... but, um... ok, you can see some redness around the cheeck regions, a fair few pimples scars on my forehead, a few pimples beginning to develop in some areas.

I don't think my skin's really that bad... but I mean, it could always do with improvements... Really don't like my side view tho... -.-
So basically, I guess my trouble zone areas include:

  • Pimples
  • Scars
  • Uneven skintone
  • Dry cheeks

ME - DAILY LOOK [AFTER]
Basically, for my everyday look, I don't do much or apply anything flashy. I like to keep things natural. So typically, this is all I'll put on in the morning:
  • Toner 'Witch hazel (sometimes, when I feel like it...)
  • Moisturiser
  • Dove Tinted Moisturiser in Beige
  • Blush - Maybelline cream blush
  • Maybelline Shine free powder (depends on if the moisturiser I use is oily or not)
  • Curl my lashes (a MUST DO, I seriously feel weird and self conscious for the entire day if I don't)
  • Shiseido Mascara base and Lash Lift Mascara

If I'm REALLY lazy, I might skip on the mascara...

So this is what I look like after getting ready in the morning...

I think my skin's more evened out, and since, Im naturally fair skinned, I do think that using tinted moisturier gives me more colour... coz sometimes I'd look too pale otherwise...

What do you guys think? Look better with tinted moisturser than bare, yeh?

PS. my nose is a bit flaky. Its not normally flaky, only because I got slightly sunburnt on my nose the other day... =P

ME - SPECIAL OCCASION LOOK
Once in a while though, when I feel like it, I might put on some brown eyeliner and/or shimmery silver eyeliner.

For a special occasion, I usually put on some eyeliner, a very sheer amount of shimmery natural eye shadow and maybe some fake eyelashes..(I've just started using them, they're soo cool!!!). I've never really worn coloured eyeshadow (ie. Green, blue, brown...) out, mainly because I guess... I'm not really confident in my skills and don't particularly like to stand out... NONE of my close high school friends wear any makeup whatsoever, so even, when we go out and I've just got some eyeliner on, sometimes I feel really self conscious, that I've got too much stuff on my face. =P

Tho, I have been experimenting at home!!!! lol. I've been lurking and reading people's post in ABB (Asian Beauty Blog) and some of the girls there are sooooo good at applying their makeup!!! *jealous* One of my favourites is a girl named Stephie! She's soo cute, and they all really have inspired me to play around with more bold colours. So, when I'm bored, I'd play around with makeup at home, then wash it off... hahah But I think I have a improved a bit in that department.

When the next special occasion comes along, I might try applying something more brighter.. we'll see... =P

Peace!!!! heheheh
